Our Reliability Promise
Your factory never stops. Neither does Andon Alert. From redundant notification delivery to self-healing browser sessions, every layer of our system is designed to work when it matters most.
When a worker triggers an alert, the right people need to know immediately. Andon Alert supports multiple notification channels and multiple providers per channel to ensure your alerts always get delivered.
Andon Alert is integrated with multiple SMS providers. Our operations team actively monitors delivery performance and SMS quota levels to ensure messages are always going through. If a provider experiences an outage or runs low on capacity, the Andon Alert team can switch to a backup provider with no downtime and no disruption to your factory.
In addition to SMS, every alert notification is also available via email through a dedicated email delivery provider. Supervisors choose which channels they want to receive notifications on, and can enable both for maximum coverage.
Each supervisor controls their own notification preferences from their dashboard: SMS, email, or both. A master on-call toggle lets them go on or off duty instantly. The supervisor dashboard warns the team when nobody is on call for immediate alerts, so gaps in coverage are always visible.
If the first on-call supervisor doesn't respond, the system automatically escalates to the next person in the chain after a configurable delay. Escalation continues up the chain until someone acknowledges the alert. Every notification attempt is logged, including any delivery failures, so you always know what happened.
Every alert in Andon Alert creates a complete, timestamped record of what happened, who was involved, and how it was resolved. Over time, these records build into a living library of standard operating procedures based on real incidents.
Every alert captures the full chain of events: which workstation, what type of issue, the worker's description of the problem, which supervisor acknowledged it, and the resolution notes explaining what was done to fix it. Each step is recorded with a timestamp and the identity of the person involved.
When a supervisor resolves an alert, they document what action was taken. Over time, these resolution notes become a searchable record of how your team handles every type of issue at every workstation. New supervisors can review past resolutions to learn how problems have been solved before.
The reporting dashboard tracks average response times (trigger to acknowledgment) and resolution times (trigger to resolution) across every workstation and alert type. Factory managers can identify bottlenecks, measure improvement over time, and spot workstations that consistently need faster attention.
A visual timeline shows every workstation's status over the past 24 hours, color-coded by alert severity. At a glance, managers can see which workstations had issues, how long alerts stayed active, and whether patterns are emerging. It's operational visibility without digging through logs.
Every SMS and email the system sends is logged with its delivery status, provider, recipient, and the exact message content. If a notification fails, the error details are captured so issues can be diagnosed immediately. Nothing is sent without a record.
Factory kiosks and supervisor displays run around the clock on unattended hardware. Computers go to sleep, Smart TVs stay on for weeks, and nobody is there to press refresh. Andon Alert is built to handle all of these conditions automatically.
Our system uses a multi-layered approach to ensure every screen is always running the latest version of the software with a valid session, no manual intervention required:
If a session expires while a kiosk is idle or asleep, the system detects the error, refreshes the session, and retries the action automatically. The worker never sees an error page. The alert goes through as if nothing happened.
When a workstation computer wakes from sleep, Andon Alert immediately refreshes its connection to the server. By the time the worker reaches the screen, the system is already up to date and ready to use.
Every kiosk and supervisor display automatically detects when a new version of Andon Alert has been deployed. Screens update themselves within moments of a release, including wall-mounted Smart TVs. No manual refresh, no IT intervention, no downtime.
As an absolute fallback, idle screens perform a full refresh once per hour. This ensures recovery even in edge cases that no active system can predict. On kiosk pages, the timer resets on every interaction, so it never interrupts a worker mid-task.
These layers work independently, so even if one fails, the others ensure your factory floor stays operational. For the full technical details, read our engineering deep dive on how we built this system.
We're confident in the reliability of our platform. So confident that we'll put our money where our mouth is.
If you discover a system bug in Andon Alert (not user error), we'll credit your account with one free month of service. The credit is applied to your next invoice automatically.
What qualifies: Any reproducible system bug that affects functionality. This includes unexpected errors, incorrect behavior, notification delivery failures caused by our code, or any issue where the system doesn't work as documented.
What doesn't qualify: User configuration issues, network or hardware problems outside our control, browser-specific quirks on unsupported platforms, or feature requests.
How to report: Simply contact us with a description of what happened and the steps to reproduce it. If it's a confirmed bug, we'll fix it and apply the credit. Every valid report makes the platform better for everyone.
This isn't a marketing gimmick. Factory alerting software needs to be rock-solid, and we want every incentive to keep it that way. If something slips through, we want to hear about it, fix it fast, and make it right.
Real-time alerts, automatic escalation, and built-in reliability for your factory floor.
